Up and running in minutes.

The easiest way is the Atelier app — download it, click Install, and it sets everything up and opens your site for you. Every option here installs the same real app (it runs on your own machine via Docker); you only ever need one.

  1. Have Docker running

    Docker Desktop or Engine, with the Compose plugin (docker compose version). That's the only prerequisite. Don't have it yet? Pick your system:

    On Linux, Docker Engine includes the Compose plugin. On macOS & Windows, Docker Desktop bundles it.

  2. Install Atelier

    Pick one — you don't need the others. Whichever you choose lands the same site under ~/.atelier and is safe to re-run; re-running just upgrades it in place.

    A friendly desktop app that installs, updates, and backs up your site — then opens it in your browser when it's ready. Nothing to type, ever.

    The macOS build is Apple-signed & notarized, so it opens cleanly; Windows isn't signed yet, so it may show a prompt — choose More info → Run anyway. All releases

  3. Open the console

    The app opens it for you when setup finishes — or find it any time at http://localhost:41221. Log in, connect an AI provider in the onboarding wizard, and start building.
