Header & footer menus
Manage your navigation yourself in the Globals studio — links that track your pages, nest as deep as you like, and publish site-wide
The agent shapes your layout and identity, but it doesn't touch your navigation — you manage the header and footer links yourself in the inline menu editor in the Globals studio.
Menus are yours to edit. The agent won't add, rename, or reorder navigation links — it shapes the page content and brand around them.
Open the menu editor
From the top nav, open the Site menu, choose Globals, then switch to the Header or Footer tab. Each tab holds an inline editor for that menu.
Manage links
In either tab you can:
- Add a new link.
- Rename its label.
- Re-point it at a different destination.
- Reorder links with move up / move down.
- Show or hide a link with the Shown toggle.
- Remove a link entirely.
Point a link at a page or a URL
Each link targets one of two things. Flip the URL | Page switch under its label to choose:
Page
Pick one of your published pages. The link then tracks that page — it always points at the page's current published URL, so renaming or re-aliasing the page keeps the menu correct on its own.
URL
Type any address — a path like /workshops, or a full external link like https://….
For Fernway Botanical Studio, you might set a Page link to your Care Guides page and a URL link to your Instagram — side by side in the same header.
Nest menus as deep as you like
Menus can nest to any depth. Use a link's go-in control — the chevron with a child-count badge — to drill into its children. A breadcrumb like Header menu › Workshops shows where you are, and you step back up through it.
On the published site, nesting renders automatically:
- A header parent opens a drop-down of its children.
- Footer children group as a column under their parent.
Publish
Edit the menu
Add, reorder, and re-point links in the Header or Footer tab. Your changes stay in an unsaved draft.
Publish
Click Publish. The header and footer update site-wide immediately.
Tip
Use Page links wherever you can. Because they follow the page, you can rename or re-alias a page later without ever coming back to fix a broken menu item.
