Export a static site

Take your whole site with you as plain files you can host anywhere — you always own your data

Atelier can export your entire public site as a static snapshot — plain HTML, CSS, images, and assets you can host anywhere, with no running server needed.

What a static export is

A static export is a self-contained copy of your published site as ordinary files. Drop the folder onto any static host — or a plain web server, or even a USB stick — and it just works. Nothing needs to keep running behind it.

What the export includes

When Atelier builds the snapshot, it:

  • Renders every published page into finished HTML.
  • Warms the right-sized image versions so photos load fast on every device.
  • Checks internal links along the way, so you know the snapshot hangs together.

You can also bundle your configuration and users alongside the site, so the export carries not just the pages but the setup behind them.

You own your data

Your content in Atelier is real, structured content — not locked inside a page builder — and your configuration travels with it. That means you can take the whole thing with you at any time:

  • Move Fernway Botanical Studio to a different host without a migration project.
  • Keep an offline archive of the site as it looked on a given day.
  • Hand a client a complete, hostable copy of their site.

A static export is a snapshot of your published site. Keep editing in the console as usual; export again whenever you want a fresh copy.

Tip

Owning your data is a feature, not a formality. Because your content and configuration both travel, you're never locked in — Atelier is a place to work, not a place your site is trapped.
